RECOMMENDS
CONQUEROR
"Un'altra Veritá"

Un'altra verità is the new concert-movie by Conqueror, the well respected italian prog band: after 5 albums and many appearances in Mellow Records tribute albums, the band from Sicily has released its first live-cd/DVD. Un'altra verità is the film concert that captures the band during the STEMS tour in 2014. 11 tracks, mostly taken from the latest cd Stems, featuring also some classic ones like "no photo", "pensieri fragili", "la strada del graal" taken from the previous cds. An exciting performance full of pathos where the band does the best. This product is well-finished in its details, filmed professionally in HD with 5 video cameras. The audio shot is entirely multi-tracking recording and is well-finished by STEMS's technicians.
THE MORGANATICS
"We Come From The Stars"

"Never Be Part Of Your World" (2013):Debut of The Morganatics, is now a figure of birth in the early hours of the life of the group. If this first litter pups survived not all, it is a quartet more welded that never the Parisians deliver this year this second album that clearly aims to surpass the first. Lauris (lead guitar) and Nico (drums) have written first guitars and pianos that Sebastian had no trouble with his compositions. As for Chris, she finally takes more prominently on the song while it loads now samples and other programming. Real demiurge of Morganatics sound, it is still Bill Bastiani (Enhancer), with its groove and experience who recorded "WCFTS" Ongaku Studio. The spleen was afloat on the debut album? "We Come From The stars",
ARGOS
"A Seasonal Affair"

Two years after their most recent CD, Cruel Symmetry, Argos is about to release their brand new album A Seasonal Affair. Initially a pure studio band, they have since then developed into a full-fledged live act. Having played at the prestigious Summer's End Progressive Rock Festival in England in 2014 and the PPR-Festival in Rüsselsheim, Germany (2013), they were able to make clear to the respective audiences that their songs come across even more dynamic and powerful than on CD. Their latest release is their 4th studio album since 2009. The title of the album, A Seasonal Affair, is representative of most of the songs which often deal with the traces that time leaves in our lives as well as the traces that we might leave behind.
THE RAPTOR TRAIL
"Same"

The Raptor Trail has been slowly and quietly plotting its course over the last 25 years. Founding members John Meyer and Matthew Mayes had been kicking around the idea of recording something together for decades. Finally in 2014, the planets aligned and the idea actually transcended into a studio recording project which later came to be called The Raptor Trail. The Raptor Trail was actually the first song that Meyer and Mayes wrote together for the project, and it snowballed from there, with "Gravity x Ten" following, and then ten more songs over the course of the next year.
GREG LAKE
"London 81"

Purple Pyramid Records will be releasing legendary Greg Lake's live album from the Hammersmith Odeon in London, November 5, 1981, featuring guitar hero Gary Moore on CD & vinyl! The concert recording features ELP and King Crimson classic tracks such as "Lucky Man", "Karn Evil 9", "21st Century Schizoid Man" and "In The Court of The Crimson King", as well as songs from his critically acclaimed first solo album from 1981. As a founding member of King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Greg Lake has been a major force in music for over 40 years. He has long been considered a legendary voice and musical powerhouse whose impact changed the landscape of rock and roll. Many simply refer to him as "The Voice".
MILE MARKER ZERO
"Young Rust"

From the moment they formed in 2003, New Haven, Connecticut quintet Mile Marker Zero have taken a slightly off-kilter, multi-tiered approach towards rock music that bordered on duality. Their songs are epic and ambitious, filled with unconventional arrangements and challenging rhythms yet they also flow with powerful melodies and memorable choruses. Even their name is a dichotomy. Such sonic chemistry usually doesn't come without training. Every member of Mile Marker Zero has a solid background in music theory and classical performance, which he vigorously applies to songs such as A Thousand Nights, which combines the atmospherics of Pink Floyd with the dramatic tension of A Perfect Circle, and The Reaping Tide, a faster, more turbulent track that sounds like a hybrid of Metallica and Dream Theater.
SUNRISE AURANAUT
"The First Cosmic"

Sunrise Auranaut is a Russian studio project, led by multi-instrumentalist and composer Vitaly Kiselev, who creates music in the Progressive / Crossover Prog / Symphonic rock and Prog Metal genres, mainly in the traditions of the classical school of Prog 70s. Kiselev cites the creativity of Genesis, Yes, E.L.P., Camel, Uriah Heep, Eloy and Hawkwind, as his major influences. Between 2009 and 2012 he produced three demo albums, "Way Of The King", "Childhood's End?" and "Spirit Of The Rain", before being discovered by Musea Records.
LUMINOUS NEWTS
"Luminous Newts"

Luminous Newts is an eclectic rock/prog/classic group based in Berkeley, California. On July 3, 2015 they released their debut album, also called Luminous Newts. Songs range from soaring progressive rock to witty, political blues/pop, and from an Irish jig to hard-edged but poetic rock reminiscent of Pink Floyd. Other influences/comparisons range widely, from Genesis to Joni Mitchell and from classical music to Toy Matinee. Musically amphibious. Melodically curvaceous. Rhythmically agile.
DAVID GILMOUR
"Rattle That Lock"

David Gilmour is guitarist, vocalist and writer with Pink Floyd, but is also renowned for his solo work: his highly acclaimed 2006 platinum album On An Island was Number 1 in the UK and achieved Top Tens in many countries. In September 2014, Pink Floyd released The Endless River and David confirmed that it would be the band's final album: it topped the charts in over 20 countries. His fourth solo album Rattle That Lock will be released worldwide on Friday 18th September 2015, with the first single, also titled Rattle That Lock, available digitally now. Rattle That Lock once again features novelist Polly Samson as primary lyricist, although David has also written lyrics for two songs himself. Longstanding collaborator Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music co-produced the album with David.
MINIMUM VITAL
"Pavanes"

Minimum Vital is certainly amongst the most original bands from the Eighties Progressive rock scene: twin brothers Thierry & Jean-Luc Payssan mix art-rock influences from Yes, guitar parts as fluid as Mike Oldfield's, an amazing virtuosity coming from jazz-rock fusion, many innovations and a deep mark from medieval and southern European traditional musics. This French band has built its own style, marked by a huge identity and originality, and is now recognized as a reference in itself.
SINTONIA DISTORTA
"Locanda del Vento"

On the Lizard side-label "Locanda del Vento" the debut of the hard-progsters Sintonia Distorta:11 songs of majestic, epic italian hard-prog, from the long ride of "Anthemyiees" to the final track "Il Vento dei Pensieri". Great melodies, strong heavy progressions, epic and romantic atmospheres. A new interesting name in the italian prog-rock scene.
SUB ROSA
"The Gigsaw"

The band was created in 2006, in Minas Gerais/Brazil, influenced by Pink Floyd and The Beatles. They recorded a demo CD with three songs in 2007, which were the ticket to record the first official album, the conceptual "The Gigsaw", with beautiful and mysterious songs and an amazing and complex symbology in its graphic art. It was released in 2009 and, until 2013, has sold more than 14.000 copies to the whole world (unexpected for an independent artist). In 2011, the band toured the East Coast of the U.S.A., playing in 6 cities/5 states, into 18 days, along with a friend band called "Ossos do Banquete". The live performances are set to bring a multisensory experience to the audience, something deepest than the music. In 2015, to celebrate the amazing selling of the first album, the label Progressive Rock Worldwide released a digipack version of "The Gigsaw", with three bonus tracks and renewed artwork.

The intention was to form a band with the main objective: make great progressive music. During a three year period a steady line up was completed, songs were written and in September 2001 the band recorded a demo CD entitled "Eclectic".
FM
"Transformation"

Progressive rock band from Toronto, Canada founded in 1976 by Cameron Hawkins and Nash The Slash. The group has undergone several line-up changes over the years, with Cameron Hawkins being the only constant member. Their material tends to be centered around space and science-fiction themes, although they also pursued a mainstream pop sound during the mid 1980s before disbanding.  After a long hiatus aside from a few reunion performances, Cameron Hawkins re-launched the group with a new line-up and album in 2015.
LANDMARQ
?RoadSkill ? Live in the Netherlands? Special Edition CD/DVD

With a long reputation as one of the UK?s finest progressive rock bands, Landmarq is enjoying its 25th anniversary year. This live release is part of the celebration of the band's remarkable career, which has also included a retrospective anthology (Origins), their first vinyl release (Entertaining Angels) and a forthcoming UK and European Tour in the Autumn. RoadSkill is a Special Edition Live CD and DVD of the show included, showcasing songs from the band's most successful and latest album, Entertaining Angels (hailed by Classic Rock Magazine as "the strongest of their career"). RoadSkill was recorded during the band's last tour in 2013 at De Boerderij in the Netherlands, in front of a packed and enthusiastic audience. It is released on Synergy Records, via Cherry Red Records. The show features the outstanding and widely celebrated vocals of Tracy Hitchings, award winning keyboard player Mike Varty, Daniel Martin on drums and the two founder members that have been there throughout the last quarter century, Uwe D'Rose (guitars) and Steve Gee (basses). Landmarq has established a solid and enthusiastic following all around the world over the years and have recently been enjoying even greater acclaim.
MINUTIAN
"Inwards"

Minutian are a progressively inclined rock / metal group based in Helsinki, Finland. The band aspires to bring something fresh to the world of traditional rock rhythms. Their influences are drawn from various directions, with some of the more prominent ones from bands like King Crimson, Tool, Mastodon and Oceansize, to name but a few. The music of Minutian is quite rhythmically oriented and odd time signatures are not frowned upon. The band originates from a three song demo by drummer Antti Ruokola with which he started looking for like-minded musicians. With the forming of the band's lineup the music too found its distinctive form. After lengthy recuperation, songwriting and recording processes, the band finished working on their sophomore album Inwards in December 2014.
BURNING CIRCLE
"Aral Sea"

Burning Circle is a progressive metal band, founded in 2006. Our first album ? "Ruins of Mankind" was released in 2012. It is an 11 song journey based on a rather broad concept around life, death, love, hate, society and solitude. We are now streaming the entire album here, so check it out! Meanwhile, we have signed to Miner Records - an independent Swiss/Serbian label, that released our album on CD which is available worldwide!!! Our music is a mixture of progressive metal, progressive rock, sympho rock & hard rock, spiced up with various heavy, thrash, power and death metal bits and pieces. Some classical music influences and even bluesy parts can be heard on the album, so there is a song for every hard rock or metal fan out there!
LIS ER STILLE
"Empirical Ghost"

Formed in 2004, as an art project designed to put music on the emotions derived from paintings, Liserstille has always been on a quest to redefine the way we perceive music and question the traditions of modern rock. In 2006 the band recorded their first demo to present to the business. This however became their debut album when Target Records (DK) decided to release the 4 track ? 43 minute recording. Following the tremendous success of The Construction of the AmpTrain Liserstille opened Spot festival, played Roskilde Festival and had showcases at PopKomm. Legendary music journalist, David Fricke also mentioned Liserstille in the American issue of RollingStone Magazine and compared the band with Sigur Ros and the early days of Pink Floyd. Epic rock music is the vessel for a desire to tell stories through dramatic composition and instrumentation. It's a four-man group and a four man creative system. The songs differ greatly from the first to the latest album, whilst a red thread is clearly present - being the progressive shape of the compositions and the character and playing style on the instruments.
SOLSTICE COIL
"Commute"

Founded in late 2001, Solstice Coil is one of the most veteran bands currently operating in Israel's progressive rock and metal scene. Dedicated to the notion of combining intellectually challenging music with reflective lyrics and high production values, the band draws its influence from artists such as Radiohead, Muse, Porcupine Tree, Oceansize, The Mars Volta and Dream Theater. In 2011, Solstice Coil released its sophomore album, "Natural Causes", under US-based label Melodic Revolution Records. In this album, the band presented a darker and heavier sound alongside a more mature songwriting style, while maintaining their previous level of sophistication and innovation. Natural Causes fared well with the critics, receiving dozens of favorable reviews that cited it as a formidable follow up to the band's debut album. In 2012 the band embarked on its first two of India, playing various festivals such as Rendezvous, Synchronicity, and NH7, which featured veteran metal band Megadeth. After returning from India, the band commenced work on developing songs for its third album, Commute.
CHERRY FIVE
"Il Pozzo dei Giganti"

Cherry Five, come back of the legendary band from Rome who later form Goblin... after 40 years, Carlo Bordini (Drums, Rustichelli e Bordini), Toni Tartarini (Vocals, Uovo di Colombo) with Pino Sallusti (Bass Guitar), Gianluca De Rossi (Hammond Organ, Mellotron, Moog, Piano - Taproban), Ludovico Piccinini (Electric Guitar) joined to record the new album with long compositions inspirated to Dante's Inferno - Il Pozzo dei Giganti.
SPETTRI
"2973 La Nemica dei Ricordi"

1001 years after the first original SPETTRI Album recorded in 1972, nothing has changed!  In the year 2973 Black Widow is proud to present  again the original band from Florence  well alive and kicking! Stefano Melani (Hammond, piano, mellotron and synth), Raffaele Ponticiello  (Guitars), Vincenzo Ponticiello (Bass), Ugo Ponticiello (Vox) and Mauro Sarti (Drums and flute, formerly "Campo di Marte" founder) use the same  original instruments of the 70's recording in full analog domain, in this new epic heavy prog  journey with the new addition of Matteo Biancalani on Sax. Elisa Montaldo from Tempio delle Clessidre (Vox  in "Il Delfino Bianco") and Stefano Corsi from Whisky Trail (Celtic Harp and Harmonica in "L'Approdo") are the guest stars. The story continues  from where it ended. A magic ship will take you through  a deep trip in the abyss of our fears to finally dock at a new island of peace.  Epic guitars and Hammond still lead the scene while addition of Sax perfectly complements the colors of the music spectrum. The powerful rhythm section speeds the heart beat on evocative vocals.
DELIRIUM
"L'Era della Menzogna"

Delirium came from Genova, from a previous beat band called I Sagittari, and formed in 1970, releasing their first single a year later. Canto di Osanna, presented at first Viareggio pop festival was a successful single and gave the band an immediate notoriety. They had also won a Radio Montecarlo rock contest in 1971. First album, Dolce acqua, also from 1971 contains a good and original mix of prog, jazz and some tuneful melodies, the leading role of singer Ivano Fossati is evident, with his furious flute soloing being one of the band's most distinctive elements. The album, housed in a nice triple gatefold cover, is structured in various movements like a classical suite, but here and there some parts seem a little incoherent with the whole LP.
MERRY GO ROUND
"Same"

Born as Storks in 1985 in Pontedera (Pisa). Their music is Psychedelic Progressive with wild rhythm & blues touches. After a demo-tape release called "Feeling Crawly" the band play many concerts and they opened for Pretty Things gig in Florence in 1988. In 1990 Michele Profeti and Stefano Gabbani joined Daniele Caputo forming legendary Psych-Prog Mellotron dominated group Standarte. In 2012 all members back together again with the addition of a second guitar player Sandro Vitolo and a new explosive female singer Martina Vivaldi'a sort of Janis Joplin meets Lynda Hoyle. Merry Go Round was born, Vintage keyboards (original Mellotron, Hammon Organ and Moog) lead their fascinating sound, electric guitars duel on a psycho-blues rhythm, their music will capture you dipping in a real 70s Psych-Prog atmosphere. For Affinity, Julie Driscoll, Manfred Mann, Beggars Opera, Indian Summer, Still Life fans.
WONDERWORLD
"Same"

Wonderworld is a new classic powertrio, and consist of Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth), Ken Ingwersen (Street Legal) and Tom Fossheim (Live Fire). The band is currently also the permanent backing band for Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep), under the name; Ken Hensley & Live Fire. Being a unique group of individuals from Norway and Italy, these warriors have teamed up in a way that only true Vikings and Romans can do :-) While recording the latest Ken Hensley album "Trouble", the guys came up with the idea to do an album together as a classic rock powertrio, with no keyboards and a minimum of nonsense...just pure energetic hard rock. Just based on the rare chemistry of musicianship and friendship, the guys knew that this was something they had to do. In 2014, the album was complete! 10 solid songs will be featured on their debut album, simply called...."Wonderworld"!
